Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and
said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. | The Pharisees ask Jesus to tell them more about God's Kingdom on Earth so they can see it with
their own two eyes. | 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Many Christians think about God's coming kingdom, the
same way the Jews were expecting the kingdom = a grand instantly visible earthly presentation.
Is God's kingdom an outward
reality or a spiritual condition? Which is more important?

Luke
17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days
will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 17:23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor
follow them. Matt 24:26 Wherefore
if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. | Jesus is preparing the disciples(us) saying, "You are going to wish you could see me, but you cannot." Other people will go around taunting -confusing you(us) in the future telling you(us)
they see me(Jesus), but you should not follow them. He
will not be found in a desert or in a secret chamber when He returns.
| We (disciples) wish we could somehow
see Jesus 2000 years ago in the flesh--His actual original body, but this was not our destiny. So if someone says to you tomorrow,
"Hey, I see the original 33 A.D. body of Jesus Christ" do not believe them! When the next anointed one returns, He will not be hidden in the middle of nowhere, some fortunate
people will see Him in plain site, while He is on earth.
Perhaps in heaven we will see his 33 A.D. body, but Jesus tells us, not in this earthly lifetime. What is more important, seeing Jesus or knowing his words? This is why it is
very misleading to see an artists' rendition of Jesus' face and body. |
Luke 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part
under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. | When Jesus comes back a
second time, He is a bolt of lightening and He will shine this lightening bolt in parts from heaven ?
| Lightening = The Holy Spirit
sent from heaven. Yeshua/Jesus is one part under heaven=one of YHWH's Holy Manifestations (a perfect reflection of God's
light) and this lightening / Holy Spirit will again shine perfectly upon God's next -- future manifestation(s), but it
is not the same face and body from 33 A.D. Therefore we must be prepared for any size, shape, facial appearance, nationality,
and language when He returns. (No one speaks Aramaic anymore!!) |
Luke 17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and
be rejected of this generation.
| When
Jesus returns He will suffer again, and this(future) generation will reject Him(again). | Just as every messenger of God suffered from verbal and or physical abuse, He(the
return of Christ = The next holy manifestation of God) will also be initially rejected and will prevail through many
sufferings. |
Luke
17:30 Even thus shall it
be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. | In
Luke 17:26-29 Jesus
tells the disciples about the bad things in the days of Noah and Lot and how it will be similar upon His return.
We better hope these are not
literal comparisons!! This is
a case where we better hope Jesus is speaking metaphorically.!!
| The days of the coming Son of Man will be a time when people
have forgot/misplaced/strayed from their faith, as in the days of Lot and Noah. Like Noah who received revelations from God
and gave people a choice to "get on board", these same 'peoples' will also get to hear the new messages
from God when Christ returns, and they too will have a choice to 'get on board' or stay behind! The Son of Man will be revealed
!!!! Floating on clouds and coming
in on lightening bolts does not represent (to me) an example of something being revealed. That
would be an outright block bluster-instantaneous event! The truth is revealed when a person performs a search and uncovers
something or has an (Ah Ha !) moment.
