The
Return of Christ Questionnaire
1. When will Jesus return?
2. How will YOU know when He returns ?
3. Who gets to decide
that He returned?
4. Is it possible that he already returned?
5. If Jesus returned 10 minutes ago, how would you know?
6.
What will He look like?...No one living today has ever seen Him before?
7.
What if He doesn't look like the image you have pictured Him to be?
8.
What will the sound of His voice be like?
9. What language will He speak?
10. Will the whole world instantly know at the same time -- that He returned?
11. What will some of His new teachings be?
12. If Jesus came
back and wrote a new book, would you read it?(How would you know if He wrote it?)
13.
What if He reveals things in a way you had not perceived?
14. Will He be Chinese
or Black, Swiss or Persian?
15. What if you think He returned but your priest
or pastor did not?
16. What if your pastor believes He has returned and has evidence,
but your brother's priest or deacon says your pastor is lying/confused = following a false prophet?
17. Do you think He will come on The Rachel Ray Show or on Jay Leno and announce his return?
18. Will He have dinner with the Pope?
If you believed Jesus had returned, would
you go around telling everyone you know, without discretion, that Christ has returned?-- knowing that they are not spiritually
or mentally ready to receive Him?-- knowing you run the great risk that many of your friends, family, co-workers, and fellow
church members will think you are crazy and even distance themselves from you?
What if Jesus told you to go around the world and spread the new
good news (Gospel) that He has returned? Would you do it, or would you allow the fear of what others think, prevent you from
opening your mouth and sharing your heart?
It would be really convenient if Jesus would return in a grander than grand fashion, and spontaneously appear to
7 billion people at the same time and perform some irrefutable form of a miracle (whichever miracle each individual person
is expecting, whichever individual sign they would believe).
It would be great if we did not have to think about the details of Christ's
return and that we will automatically "Just Know" when it happens. I have yet to find
anywhere in the Bible that says we will automatically "just know" when He returns.
However, God does not seem to historically
operate this way. He tests us, we do not------cannot------should not test him. You cannot have someone else take the test
for you and you cannot take the test for them. Many people do not explore the details about the return of Christ on their
own because they want their priest/pastor to take the test for them.
The "Great Tribulation" is the dilemma of coming
to terms with asking yourself the questions above and to seek the answers for yourself.
Jesus never said, "Go to church
or (sit on your couch and watch church on TV) and let someone else do the work of discovering the amazing revelation of my
return." He never said,"Don't seek and you shall find", or "Don't knock and it shall be opened"
Many Christians would say that asking these questions is not a
sign of respect or patience. However, I believe Jesus wants us and expects us to ask these hard and fast questions.
Jesus gave us the key to understanding what He wants us to do = his true message
= God's message, with this Bible passage:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek; and you shall find;
knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh
it shall be opened. [Matthew 7:7-8]
